Conceria La Bretagna Tuscania, Bordo

Tuscania is a beautiful soft-tempered, milled (milling is a physical process of breaking the grain in different directions to soften the leather and to give the grain a pebbled texture), and high oil content leather very well-suited for lined/backed bags, wallets (especially wallet interiors), and watch straps.  It also works great as a lining.

It burnishes easily and behaves well when either machine or hand sewn.  It’s a 100% vegetable tanned leather, so it will patina similarly to its firm-tempered cousins that are also produced in the Tuscany region of Italy – darkening and developing a beautiful sheen.

We offer Tuscania in a bunch of colors, and it’s worth trying out if you like the softer temper of most chrome tanned bag leathers but you want to go with a veg tan instead.

Tuscania comes in double shoulder form, so by nature will have some range characteristics present, such as light scarring and natural striation through the chest area of the hide.

GRADING:

– Grade A – Great quality, very little to no flaws beside what is mentioned above.

– Grade B – Not-so-perfect – will have more noticeable range marks or scratches, broken grain, or slight color variation over a small portion of the panel.
